A lightweight jacket for women that feels cool on the skin while delivering certified UPF 50+ protection. The extended hood offers added face coverage when wearing hair up, and can be rolled into a hidden turtleneck pocket when not in use. A hidden mesh panel across the back and arms allows for improved airflow on hot days. Integrated thumbhole cuffs extend protection to the backs of the hands, while front zip pockets offer secure storage. The Deluxe Hooded Sun Jacket is roughly 5cm longer than our Hooded Sun Jacket.

Certified UPF 50+

This fabric, in every colour, has been independently tested and certified to provide UPF 50+ protection under AS/NZS 4399:2020.
Darker colours usually block more UV than lighter ones, so we ran our wash test on the lightest shade of this fabric - the one most likely to drop. Even after 50 washes (tested to ISO 6330), this fabric retained its UPF 50+ rating.

The UPF rating applies only to the area of skin covered. Protection may be reduced if the material is wet, stretched or from the effects of normal wear or exposure to chemicals. For best sun protection use hats, clothing that provides maximum skin coverage, sunglasses, sunscreen and shade.

Fabric + care

100% Nylon (90 GSM)

Nylon fibres can be woven very densely, which minimises the gaps between threads and prevents UV rays from reaching the skin.
It's a lightweight, durable fibre commonly used in performance and outdoor apparel due to its high strength and resistance to wear.
Nylon is fast drying and has low moisture absorbency.
Our nylon fabrics are breathable, cooling and comfortable in warm conditions.

Coverage Guide

Our coverage level outlines how much of the body the garment covers.

All garments are designed to work together. For example, our short-sleeve UPF 50+ top (coming soon!) provides moderate coverage on its own, but layering it with our hooded jacket increases your overall coverage from moderate to max. Having the short-sleeve top on underneath also allows you to unzip the jacket and maintain UPF 50+ protection.

LEVEL 1 - MODERATE COVERAGE

Covers core areas of the body while leaving more skin exposed for airflow and comfort.

Garments: Short-sleeve tops, shorts, skirts.

LEVEL 2 - HIGH COVERAGE

Provides extended coverage across arms, neck and back of hands.

Garments: Jackets without hoods and shirts with collars.

LEVEL 3 - MAXIMUM COVERAGE

Includes scalp and head coverage in addition to level 2’s coverage.

Garments: Jackets with hoods.

All products are certified to provide UPF 50+ protection.
